January - March 2020 (When the pandemic hit)

We had a great start to 2020!!
We took off on our annual Family Vacation to honor and celebrate Daxon boy!
We went to Aneheim CA!

And hit up The Great Wolf Lodge for a couple days!
It was sooo much fun!

Poor Maycie started getting sick about 3 days into our vacation.
She was such a trooper and still had fun!

Then we went to Disneyland!!! Pure magic as always!
Scared of Minnie hahaha

Awww poor baby.  I went back to the hotel early with her both nights.

And the last 2 days of our trip, Tom and the girls hung out at the hotel
and I went to my LuLaRoe leadership training!!
It was fun to be recognized as a company Trainer and in the 10k/month sales tier!
That was a new goal that I really worked hard for.

Home Sweet Home!
Tom was telling them an exciting story about his childhood!

This girl!! Man she's growing right up!
Driving us to church and everything!

Lainey Q!  Such a little ham!

Our women's volleyball team came back from last place
and won the Spanish Fork tournament!!
The funnest 4.5 hours of volleyball ever!!
Gluing on 100 beads for school 100th day!

Another day, another LuLaRoe outfit!
Climbed right up on the table and got herself some Sprite! haha
Marley and Jovi... best 2 dogs ever.

I wanted a cute picture before church...
but it wouldn't be complete without somebody crying!
Even the dogs wanted in on it!
Sharing is caring!
Cute even while getting a check-up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jazz Party!
Temple date!! (This was the last time we have been to the temple...it's now Jan 2021
and they are just barely starting to open back up with the pandemic)
Maklyn Jo!  Lainey's best little buddy!

My lula ladies!

Crazy fun hair, and gel nails for this fancy gal!

Okay..... so this is the day that our whole world shifted....March 13, 2020.
We'd been hearing about Covid-19 since about January.
The corona virus started in China and rapidly spread across the globe.
I was working with my team selling at a shop Takeover when they
announced schools, non-essential businesses, salons, restaurants, etc
were closing down for 2+ weeks to slow the spread of the virus.
Welllllll it turned into months!!! The saddest to me was no church meetings.
Thankfully the Lord and Prophet prepared us with the
Come Follow Me at home church lessons.
And taking the sacrament in our home was/is a very sacred experience.
I tried to pretend the it all wasn't happening so I don't have much photo
documentation of much of anything...but man it turned our lives upside down.
People started wearing masks EVERYWHERE, we home-schooled the
rest of the year, people panic shopped, you couldn't find basic essentials like toilet paper.
So much was uncertain and unknown about the virus.  It truly was scary.
We started quarantining, and told to social distance 6ft from each other,
and not leave your house if you can help it.
Hand sanitize and wash your hands like crazy...it was nuts!
We continued life as normal as we could.  Jade had her big 8th birthday party
scheduled for the next day after the shutdown.
We didn't know what we were supposed to do... but it was so important to her
and our family that we went ahead and did it.  And I'm so glad we did!
She wrote cardboard notes to all of her guests haha! (it was used to make the pillowcases)

Tom wrecked on his one-wheel and got this crazy knot in his shin
that didn't go away for months!
These girls and our family... All the pandemic stuff was a huge reminder
about what's really important.

And I tell you ....Memes were golden through all the madness!
Humor was the only way to survive!! So I shared some here!! A
nd if you don't understand any of these... just trust me.. they were HILARIOUS!!
OH.....and about 5 days into quarantine there was a 5 magnitude earthquake
that shook our house.  I'm telling you...2020 was seriously CRAZY TIMES!

We survived Homeschooling!

Yes that's underwear on her head haha

Trying to keep our sanity!

Fell in love with plants!

Boosting the economy via drive through (because we were lucky if that was even open!)
Maycie became obsessed with Sofia the first this year!
(Probably thanks to me planting her to watch it while I Homeschooled the girls!
Along with running my LuLa business and figuring out what to do
with all the salons closed....)

Oh my heart....this was the teacher drive-by parade.  School was cut off
so abruptly that the teachers/students never really got to say goodbye.
So all the teachers at the Elementary school did a parade.
And it was the sweetest, coolest, saddest thing!! I cried.
And the girls were so happy to see their teachers.

We ate a lot during quarantine haha! Coping mechanism?
