BBQ's and Camping...Summer is here!!

Last week we had our first BBQ and our first "camping" we didn't stay the night so I don't know if that qualifies:) On wed we went to Canyon View park here in Spanish Fork with the Hunt's, King's, Locke's, Ward's and Millers for a bbq. I can't believe we have lived here for almost 5 years and had never been to this park before! It is beautiful, right by the golf course and has a pond. It was fun to see Jessica and Brady's little man Treyvin again..it is so crazy how fast babies change in just a few short weeks! Stef holding sweet Treyvin mmmmmm mmmmmmmmm.... Jadelyn was one pooped little gal afterwards:) Then Friday night we headed down to Oak City to go camping which didn't turnout exactly as planned:) There was extreme fire danger so we weren't allowed to have a fire unless we were in a certain area that was pretty much full. But it turned out ok because we went to Leo's for din din and then went to hang out with my parent's for the night. I'm pretty sure my parent's loved the surprise because they got to love on Jade. The Hill's and Jone's came over to my parent's late that night and we had a fire in my parent's backyard firepit...so it was kind of pretend camping...Then the next day we went up the canyon again and they had found a spot! So we hung out up there for the day before heading back home. Jade did pretty good but was not a fan of the wind. This is where she finally took a sort of nap after finally surrendering to her exhaustion:) The boys playing some Bocci Ball (sp?) I love this action shot of Swayzie dumping Mt. Dew all over her dad:) haha So even though it didn't pan out like we thought, we still had a great time with our friends and can't wait to do it again! Maybe...for sure...a little closer to home next time:) Also some random pics... I finally have Jade's room done how I want it! I think its pretty cute! And praise the heavens for these new blackout curtains that make it so she takes really good naps now! Check out this amazing quilt my Aunt Nancy made her! Excuse the messy closet:)

Jade's first swim

On Friday I went on a little play date with Shayla & Chloe, Brittany & Hayden, and Jenni & Swayzie to the Scera pool! It was really fun to hang out with these girls and fun to take the kiddos swimming:) Jade slept most of the time but did all right for all of the 15 minutes she was in the water... she just didn't quite know what to think but she sure looked cute doing it!! And I can't wait to go again...once this TREACHEROUS sunburn of mine heals!!! My shins and tops of my feet got fried! To like a purpley red...I now will call this the mommy sunburn because I don't think I have ever put sunscreen on my legs because they never tan, let alone burn...but I guess when you have kids you are sitting in the shallow end with them and not walking around... LESSON LEARNED! It is kind of hilarious that all us ladies fried but the kids were fine slathered in sunscreen, we are idiots:) Anyways it was really fun to spend some time outside! you cant tell from the pic but hayden had a blast! He was really fun to watch

Sadie's Graduation

I've been slacking, but a couple weeks ago we went down to Delta to Sadie's High School graduation! It was a quick trip but so fun to support Sadie and see Tom's whole family. I can't believe Sade is all grown up and graduated!!! Time goes too quick but I know she will do awesome taking on adult life:) I'm so proud of the woman she has become!!
