4th of July

We celebrated our country's birthday in Delta!  The best place to be on the 4th!
We  came down after Tom got off work on Friday and went to the Styler party at Dave and Dani's.

Kiptyn was so cute asking to hold Lainey (as if she is a tiny baby, when in reality, Lainey almost weighs as much as her haha)

Koleman and Kiptyn were so sweet with her!  They are definitely ready for their new sibling coming in October!

We had a great time with everyone and were so happy Trev and Lashel decided to make the trip!
Then we went over to my parents for the night!  And they put on a great firework show!

The next morning we went to the Delta City parade and of course got lots of candy!  There were some really cute floats!

Of course I had to get a picture of The Lorax float since it's still Jade's long time standing favorite movie!
Afterwards we went to the park for like a minute but Lainey was sooo done so we headed back to the Millers for the afternoon.
The kids had a blast swimming and playing together!!
We also took the 4-wheeler down to get some use out of it this summer!

That night my parents were kind enough to watch our girls while we went to the Demolition Derby with Cole and Stephanie and Trevor and Lashel!.  It was actually a great derby this year and the weather was PERFECT!!!!!  So much fun!

The Jones happened to have seats in a nearby section and sent me this picture haha!

Then we watched Delta's firework show from the perfect seats at my parents!
All the kids had such a blast together!  It was so fun to spend time with the family and celebrate the USA!
Thank you sooooo much mom and dad for the wonderful weekend of food and fun!!

Some pictures from the week after:

We gave Swayzie a ride to dance and it was so cute how they held hands walking in "so that the cars won't bonk us!"
We met up with Tom mid-week for a lunch date to Culver's!!  And Lainey's licorice covered smile showcases her 2 teeth!

We got Jade some art supplies at the dollar store and it kept her very entertained for several days!

I have been playing on my friend Jaime's women's softball team every Thursday night since early June and it has been so so fun!  I still love the sport and hope to play it until I am too old!  Our team is actually very good and undefeated!    I took this picture after our last game where it was ridiculously windy and rainy, but as we were walking out, the BRIGHTEST rainbow I have ever seen showed up!  This picture does it no justice!
Lainey sleeps in the most uncomfortable looking positions!
Dad taking Jade to tumbling last week!
We went to Carter and Swayzie's combined birthday party last week!  Jade actually hopped right in the big pool and loved it!
Look at the crazy picture where my camera reversed the colors or something!

While Jade and I were on the front porch the other day, I had one of those moments.... I was just watching Jade and thinking how grown up she looked!  And thinking how could 3 years have flown by so quickly!  I got a little teary and then pulled myself together haha!
But really, life is so precious and goes way to quick!  Lainey is almost 1!  So surreal.

The other stuff of June

A quick little photo dump to help me get caught up!

Jade loves to be the first one to go in to get Lainey after a nap
Trampoline nights

Practicing her skipping at dance class
We were at Costco one evening and Tom got called into work, so he took off to run up to Orem and come straight back to pick us up..So I slowly checked out every aisle... Thank goodness for these dum dum suckers to appease these haggard and hangry girls!
Sprinkler under the tramp!  One of my favorite childhood memories!

I took the girls back to the Spanish Fork pool and snapped a few pics of the now open splash pad part

Lainey had some seriously awesome post-nap bedhead

Some funny things that Jade has said:
1)  We were pulling out of Costco and driving by where a new building is being built and she points and says, "Look mom!  A construction site!"
One time on a walk she points and says, "Look a log bear!"  and sure enough, on someone's porch was a big bear carved out of a log.  I guess it just surprised me that she specified the 'log' part, instead of just saying a bear.
She surprises us all the time with what she picks up!
2)  One time she did a #2 and looked in the potty and yelled, "Whoa!  That's ginormous!!"
3)  We were on a walk and she said, "Mom, I need to blink my eyes but I can't.  I think my blinker power must be going out."
4)  There was a Dove Advanced Care Deoderent commercial on TV and after she looks at me and then hangs her head and sadly says, "I wish I had advanced care."
