Valentine's Day

Usually for Valentine's Day we go out to dinner, but this year I wanted to make Tom a nice dinner. And I did it!! I cooked a legit dinner all from scratch! (Except the breadsticks, whoops) And I'm pretty proud of it so I'm blogging about it:) First we had Ceasar Salad, breadsticks, and Zuppa tuscano soup (similar to Olive Garden's sausage potato soup) honestly the best soup either of us have ever had!!!!! Seriously if anyone wants a delicious soup recipe, hit me up. Shopping for the ingredients was like a whole new experience! I had no idea what kale was and good thing I watch food network or I would never have know how to get into that garlic!
Then we had Chicken Cordon Bleu's for the main course. Good thing no one watched me prepare this meal because I'm sure it would have been pretty entertaining. So you are supposed to pound out the chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thick with a meat mallet (who has that??! not me) so I improvised with wrapping the chicken in saran wrap and using the side of our hammer to pound it out:) worked like a charm! Anyways they were pretty darn good as well!
Tom was pretty impressed and surprised when he got home from work! And I was pretty impressed as well! But one thing I learned for sure, that cooking...really cooking... not the way I normally molly mormon cook, with Cream of Chicken in everything...is freakin expensive and time consuming! But really good! After dinner Tom cleaned up and did dishes (aw) and then we watched Dolphin Tale (because it was my date and I wanted just a happy feel good movie! Cheesy I know but it was soo cute!! we loved it! Tom also brought me home these roses and pretzel M&M's!! yes!! he knows the way to my heart!
So all in all an awesome Valentine's Day date at home with the love of my life! :)

More baby stuff!

We finally have a baby room all set up for our little one!! When Tom was painting I went to check on him and found him doing this:) So you can kind of see the before... hideous lime green...
...and here is the after!!
Here I was at 34 weeks
Look how cute these two precious babies are!
Last week was kinda crazy! Tom was gone to Houston TX from Monday morning until Thursday night for his work training so I missed him a ton (especially since I was SUPER sick on monday and had to call in sick with no one to comfort me:( ) So I'm so glad he is home again. On Saturday, Stephanie, Brittany and Jenni threw me an awesome baby shower!! Thank you so much again ladies! I have the best friends in the world! Look at this spread! It looks like a reception!
I didn't take any pics during the shower but here are some I took at the end!
Here is Jenni rummaging through the gifts to decide which ones she was going to take home with her:) haha
And afterwards the husbands came over to eat the leftovers and hang out.
Hayden, Bridger and Gage playing with all the toys!
It was such a good night and we got so many amazing gifts from everyone! We are very grateful for all the family and friend support in our lives:)

Christmas time-ish

About a week before Christmas we went up to the Utah Jazz open scrimmage. It was really fun and like Christmas morning to Tom:) He loved scoping out the team this year...all is right with the world for Tom now that the NBA lock-out is over:)
Christmas weekend was so fun for us! We headed down Friday night and spent the night and the next day with Tom's family. It was a blast, we ate...a..lot, played games and hung out Tom's sibs which is ALWAYS entertaining! Early Saturday morning (after like no sleep from staying up so late) Tom went and played basketball with his friends, brothers, and family members! Sounded like a pretty intense game for these old guys:) So this is what he did when he got back
Saturday night we went to the annual Styler family Christmas Eve party at Uncle Dave's. I forgot my camera so thanks Lashel!
Koleman was the star for this years Nativity skit
Christmas morning was so fun, especially with Koleman who got a freaking adorable new puppy!
Then we headed over to Tom's mom's and got spoiled again!! I forgot my camera! And we had an amazing breakfast and relaxed there for the day Then that night we went to my parents and got spoiled a 3rd time!! We got hooked up with LOTS of amazing baby stuff to help us bring this little girl home too! We are soooooooo grateful! Then we spent that night with my parents and brother which was so nice! Marley and Jovi got loved on and played with soo much while in Delta! They had a blast and were so exhausted by the end.
Monday morning Tom and I headed back home to drop off our dogs and head up to Midway to spend a couple days here:
At the Zermatt Resort for some R & R:) This was the view from our window
It was soooooooooo nice just to get away and chill. We also got a couples massage which was AWESOME!! Mine was a "Mommy to be massage" and Tom's was a Signature massage. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and promised that someday when we are filthy rich, it will be a weekly thing. A few days later we had a little New Years Eve Partay! Again with some good food and great company! We love our friends!
Aw twinners!
buddies!
Gamers!
The Woods brought Just Dance 3 for the Wii and it was sooo hilarious and fun!
Hayden was dancing his brains out! It was so cute!
And more games...
Such a great Holiday week to spend time with eachother, family, and friends!! Loved it! We are so grateful for this time of year to remember our Savior's birth and to spend time with those we love! Happy New Year!
