Lately

So not a lot lately but we have been having a good holiday season! Thanks to Tom I am really getting into the Christmas spirit! He has insisted that we watch a Christmas movie every night until christmas- which is great but, we started like two weeks ago- so we have seen almost EVERYTHING! Including all the really old ones we grew up with like clay mation ones (Rudolph the red nose reindeer) and all those ones! Ha ha it feels like forever ago and like it was just yesterday at the same time that we were watching those as kids. we have loved it tho! And only a few more to go!
I'm surprised we have had time tho, what with the Utah Jazz season (aka Tom's girlfriend :) ) going on! Man that man of mine sure loves his Jazz! He doesn't miss a game unless he has to. And then when the game is over he has to run up to the computer to read about the game he JUST WATCHED! What?! I don't get it. Tom has also loved doing his Fantasy NBA team (aka the devil) with all the guys in his family and his friends. It's a good thing that I sure love my hubby :) He has also been doing a fabulous job at his work
I have been loving my work and clients at the salon, instructing at the hair school (tho I am super excited for the long christmas break), playing with my puppies, and hanging out with my amazing hubby, friends and family.
This year we have been teaching the 5-6 year old boys in primary (aka nightmare). They are sooo..?.....?....energetic? Ha ha they are crazy! And by some stroke of luck 6 of the 9 boys names all start with the letter C! And we have 2 Brocks! It took us a few good months to get all their names down. And took us like ten good months to have any sort of control over the class. ha ha not that bad but we really would flop in the car after church just exhausted! It has taught us a lot tho. It has been fun to see Tom be so cute with them and to see each of the boys learn and grow! But who would have thunk that we would actually like them now! We have made special relationships with each one. Of course two sundays from the end of the year we actually have a good time with them. So in the end we are really grateful for the callings we have been given. I don't know if teaching them has made us want kids, or been permanent birth control. ha ha depends on the week of church.
We have definitely been really blessed this year and are so thankful for all of our families and friends that have been a part of many memories this year. We are so thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ, especially at this time of year. We wanna wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS

Brittany's baby shower

On Saturday Jenni, Stephanie, and I hosted Brittany Bunker's baby shower at my house! It was fun and went pretty well (even tho none of us knew how to throw a baby shower :) ) I'm so dang excited for Matt and Brittany to be parents! It is crazy tho- I grew up best friends with Brittany my whole childhood, the farthest we ever lived from eachother was 2 houses away. We have been friends through our ups and downs of life and have done a lot of funny and crazy things together that we could laugh about for hours! (for example...being in Jordan High School's Senior Class picture (when we live in Delta), playing the most random games in my swimming pool, and injuring ourselves all the time playing sports, jumping off her house onto the tramp, riding/crashing dirtbikes, jumping on a GIANT ball while on the tramp, etc). It's crazy how time flies and how fast we all grow up. Now we are both married and she is having a baby!? What!... Anywho- Congratulations Brittany! I love you and you will make an amazing mom!

The beautiful mother to be

Brittany and some of her guests!!!

This is the wives club....minus a few that don't live up north:( ...but all of our husbands (and me and Brittany) are from Delta and have been friends for life basically, and now all us wives are such good friends too...I love it!

Matt is such a cute daddy to be...when the husbands came over he went right over to the gifts and looked through everthing that his son was getting and imediately started setting up the baby swing!

This is Dallas and Heather Valerio's son Brayden! Look at those cheeks!!

And I just love this picture cuz its priceless! The cute Jones's.

Girl's night/ Cake pops and suckers!!!

Go team Jacob!!! Thats all I'm gonna say
For craft night a couple weeks ago, Shanell had us over to make cake pops and suckers!!( Thanks Shanell) She is such a crafty little Betty!

The cake pops were my favorite!! and so easy!! All you do is make a cake (any flavor) following the normal instructions...then just crumple it up to tiny crumbs in a big bowl and add frosting mashing it together until the consistancy of a dough. Then roll into little balls and put in fridge to harden for a bit. Then melt chocolate (any flavor) and dip balls half way in and put sucker stick in dipped half and let it set up with undipped side on the pan (sticks up), when chocolated has set up, then hold stick and dip other half, cover with sprinkles and put cake pops in a styrafoam brick to set up all the way!!! Then wrap them!! delicious!!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving weekend was so good! But I only had my camera with me one day!! oops! So I missed a lot. But it was awesome and we got to spend lots of time with family, and extended family, and thats whats important. We are so grateful to have such amazing families that support eachother no matter what.

I have never went and got a real christmas tree in my life so it was pretty fun to go get one from Oak City Canyon with Tom's family. Tom wasn't feeling good so he didn't go :(

Momma Michelle and Sadie

Cute lumber jack John!!!

Me and my cute little sister-in-laws, Sadie and Kimberlie.

Me and Kimi thought this scraggly, little, half-dead tree would be the one... but luckily we found a beautiful ten foot pine so we decided to go with that

This is a view from Oak City canyon as we were hiking in search of the perfect tree!!

This Thanksgiving we got to spend a lot of time with my family. We played games, ate, watched movies, ate, played countless hours of Tetris on the Wii (sounds boring I know, but it was so fun and addicting!!!), and oh ya, ate! Thanks parental units for the great weekend!!!

2009 Miller family photos!! Minus Conlan :(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANIE!
On Wednesday Stephanie invited me to go with her and all her friend's from highschool on their monthly girls day! It was so fun! All her friends are so cute and so fun and i'm so glad I got to meet them! We went to the Good Things Utah show! The pic below is us with the cast! It was really fun, then we went to the Olive Garden and then some shopping! Thanks Steph and friends for the greatday!

I know Steph will probably kill me but, she got a snuggie for her birthday so I had to get a pic, Snuggies all around!

On Thursday, her actual birthday, Cole called us up to go to dinner and surprise her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!

Man my dad is getting old!! ;) He turned 50 this weekend and my mom planned a surprise party for him. It was so fun, my whole fam, minus Roger and Conlan, and my dads past bishopric met at The Loft in Delta to surprise him!. If any of you know my dad, he does not like surprises or any attention on him, so it was so fun to be there for this! After dinner we went back to the house and watched the Jazz game. It was such a fun night. Thanks mom

Happy 50th Dad!!! I love you so much!

My lovely sisters and I

PHEASANT HUNTING!!!

This year (being my first year at the pheasant hunt, even tho it is an annual thing and we have been married almost 4 yrs) I learned that there is nothing scarier or more fun than hunting with the Stylers! There were about twenty people with shot guns all running around shooting at pheasants that aren't always willing to leave the ground!! There were a few close calls but no human casualties, Thank Goodness! Tom did however get shot in the chin, but luckily it was far enough away that it just left a huge welt and barely broke the skin. I had a really funny video that Jason May filmed that shows him almost getting shot but it won't upload for some reason!!! sorry those that I promised I would post it. The day really was so fun tho, like it always is with the Styler side and thank you aunt Luann for the amazing chili and spudnuts! I'm so happy to have married in to such an awesome family. And now I understand why everyone gets together every year for the hunt. Great tradition!

Isaac going in for the kill!

This is all the carnage....and all the mighty hunters!!!! It was my first time and I actually shot one too (well thats what everyone told me, but I'm sure they were just trying to make me feel good) It was so fun!! I know its crazy that I grew up in Delta but had never been hunting!!! It was so fun, next year I might do it legally! ah... nothing like walking threw dusty fields with a shot gun and high heels (I didn't know the family was going to make me hunt too, but I'm sure glad they did)

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Me, Kenzi and her dog Bella.

On Friday at the hair school where I teach we had a halloween party and thanks to Stef I had something to wear! These are some of the girls(yes they are all girls.. tom was worried for a second!) and don't be offended by the girl on the far right.. ha ha it really was so funny!

On Halloween night Jeff and Claudia had a murder mystery dinner party!!! It was so fun! We were assigned costumes which made figuring out what to be much much easier! WE ate delicious taco soup and played games and had a ton of fun getting in to our characters and solving the murder mystery and just hanging out. Thanks again Hills!!!

Me and my crazy-eyed lover!

Eating our delicous dinner and treats!!!

Cole and Tom! ha ha tom's mask kills me everytime!! cole defineitely embraced his character! He would howl SOOO loud every couple minutes! It was hilarious!

Claudia, Stephanie,me. too bad I was the only one in character in this pic! :)

Thirsty murderer!

Six stunning people!!! If you count only five... there is a handsome young man in Brittany's belly...

The Byrds defineitely had the best costumes! Wow they both made everything! And looked amazing!!!

And we didn't dress up Jovi and Marley this year (I know I'm a slacker) but they are plenty cute without a costume!
