Styler Family

We had a blast down in Delta/Oak City over Easter weekend! Easter is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays! We got down to my parents Friday night and Jade and Alyssa had a great time together!

Saturday morning Gammy colored easter eggs with the girls! Once Jade understood what to do, she was focused haha! She got those eggs in and out very efficiently!- no messing around with her! (Note that the majority of the eggs are green and blue because those were the colors closest to Jade)

We then went up to Oak City for the Styler fam's Egg hunt and it never disappoints!

Somehow Jade ended up posing with all the Henrie kids haha! But hey, she posed so I'll take it!

She had a blast and did great hunting for eggs and prizes! And then of course, a delicious pot luck lunch afterwards! Lainey took an awesome nap in the house so it worked out great!

Jade even got a ride in the May's side-by-side! This is her "I'm really nervous, but really excited" smile!

Lainey was just a lover this weekend.... it was so sweet. She is not usually super cuddly but she sure loved on all her grandparents and great grandparents.

Then we went to Michelle's for the afternoon and to prep for Sadie's bridal shower that Michelle, Kimi, and myself threw for her that evening!

This was SO PRECIOUS.... Lainey just kept burrowing into Grandpa and Grandma Probst.... so cuddly!

Sadie's bridal shower went great! She had a great turn out and we played some fun games, ate some treats, and enjoyed seeing all the stuff she got! I'm so happy for her and loved celebrating her

My parents put on a fun Easter egg hunt for the grandkids! Jade and Alyssa found all 66 eggs! Jade got very competitive and sprinted from egg to egg saying "I'm winning!"

Then we spent the rest of Easter/ General Conference relaxing and eating Easter dinner!

We had a great weekend! Thanks to all the family that made it so great! Jade was exhausted like I've never seen! She fell asleep outside of Delta (around 6:30 pm) and stayed asleep the whole way home and didn't wake up for anything!- (Which may or may not have included a 10 minute stop from being pulled over by a cop, which we thought for sure would wake her...but may have helped the cop take pity on us and only give Tom a warning) And when we got home about 7:30 we COULD NOT get her to wake up so we put her in bed haha! And she slept til 8am the next day! So crazy!

Fully recovered from the weekend, Monday was here :( I hate the monday after a great weekend! But here's what we did last week...

Also, I didn't take any pictures but... Karilynne, one of my best friends from high school who now lives in Maine, came over to visit and for a haircut! It was so fun to hang out and catch up! We haven't seen each other for about 3 years so it was awesome. And so cute to see our girls playing together!

So last Friday, Tom got iLASIK surgery! He has always wanted it and he is thrilled with the results! It is such a crazy procedure! 5 minutes per eye to have better than perfect vision!? What!
Ya that's the top layer of his eye flapped open... barf! I video taped it and ya, it's nuts! Anyways- CONGRATS babe! You've worked hard for it!

Jade just looked so cute on Sunday for church that I had to snap a million pictures!

This girl is dramatic, emotional, adventurous, hilarious and crazy! She is a great teacher to me to live life with enthusiasm!

When is someone going to make and bring me cookie dough while I sit and watch 'Frozen'?

We also went on our first family bike ride of the year and it felt so nice and Lainey loved it! It was a little short lived with Tom's new eyes not being able to handle the wind too well but I can't wait to go again

A couple funny things Jade has said recently:
1) In the wee morning hours (when I had made cookies the night before) Jade woke up to go potty...and when I was putting her back in bed and walking out, she said in a sleepy stupor, "Mom, wait... thank you for the cookie dough." Not much can make me laugh at 4 am...but that did.
2) She really likes the "sharing" concept when it benefits her! Not so much when it's the other way around. So on Sunday at church, a little girl who is about 2 was sitting on our bench and her and Jade were kind of playing. And soon the little girl comes over with a whole sleeve of Ritz crackers and Jade kept informing her that she was supposed to share!! I kept trying to shush her and finally the girl gave her one and Jade said, "Share again!...Share again....share again!" holding out her other hand, over and over again! And soon, the girl was done sharing. So Jade, with her mouth and both hands full, and with cracker powder flying, she cries, "Don't you remember!? You're supposed to share!"
3) One morning I was in my bathroom getting ready with all the lights on and Jade wanders in and says, "Geez it's bright in here! I just woke up!....Geez!"

Lainey is doing great! She is so active ALL.THE.TIME. She is busy busy and wants to be involved in everything that's going on!
She is almost crawling! She can crawl backwards and is starting to connect the motions to move forward.
She loves having "conversations" when we mimic the sounds and noises she makes! She just laughs and laughs!
She loves baby food and eats 3 meals a day and 4-5 bottles. Napping/Sleeping great.
Her spitting up is still super annoying but we've tried everything so we just have to wait it out and hope it improves over the next couple months

What better to do when taking your baby to the doctor after hours because we have about had it with her spitting up then take a selfie? Her spit up was out of control... it would be at any given moment, even hours after she has eaten! And it got way worse once we started solids and we have tried 3 different formulas so we took her in to see if its reflux or what! Well since she is still gaining weight and she was 6 months, there isn't much that can be done. So she takes Zantac now and it should drastically improve due to her age over the next couple months:)

These girls love their dad! The second he gets home he is bombarded by all us girls haha

It's so fun that the girls can actually play together now. Lainey just loves to be sitting near and feel involved in whatever is going on:)

Lainey is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking all the time now! It's so sad though because she gets so frustrated when she can't get to where she wants to by just pivoting.

We spend a lot of time outside every day and we all love it

Out on our walk, Jade got tired and so she rode on the front tip and she kept saying, "This is awesome!" And Lainey kept laughing!

The Miller girls went to the Women's Conference here in Spanish Fork this time. It was a fun night together!

Brittany and I took the kids on a bike ride and it was so fun!

Us girls got together for ice cream to celebrate Brittany's upcoming delivery and it was such a fun girl's night! We just hung out outside of Rita's til almost midnight haha!
