Thanksgiving 2010

This Thanksgiving we spent with Tom's fam. We had dinner and spent the first half of the day with his mom Michelle and her husband Larry, and his sister's Kimberlie and Sadie.

There was tons of delicous food! We didn't even make a dent. Then we spent the afternoon napping and working on a Christmas puzzle. Which we completed!booya! Then Tom and I went to visit John & Kristan, my parents, and Tom's Dad. It was such a fun Thanksgiving and we loved spending time with all the family we could.

Tom is such a sweetie...he took a christmas tree and ornaments from his work that was going to get thrown out and we gave it to Tom's dad Kevin. Last year he only had like a pathetic two foot tree so we snuck over to his dad's house when he wasn't there and set it all up and decorated it for him to surprise him...It was so fun and he loved it!

Then we came back Friday afternoon and had such a good weekend together. We even made it to the temple, rented 3 movies, put up the christmas decor, and watched a Jazz game...perfect. Thanks babe!
On saturday I spent a few precious hours with one of my best friends from high school and it was sooo fun! love ya Jenny!
This Thanksgiving we have so much to be grateful for...we couldn't be more blessed. I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!

Pheasant Hunt 2010

Oh my Tommy...I freaking love this man! He really is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't ever imagine my life without him. I'm so glad he picked me as his match. I can't believe next month we will have been together for 5 years. Time has flown and I love him more everyday.

Every year the Styler host a huge family pheasant hunt at Uncle Mikes and Aunt Luann's property. And every year Aunt Luann, being the wonderful, amazing woman that she is, makes homemade doughnuts and chili and it is SERIOUSLY THE BEST! (I had to capitolize so you fully understand how delicious this event is) There is usually almost everyone of the Stylers there so like 40 or so people there that arrive at like 7am and hunt pheasants all day. This year I just hung out with the women folk in a nice warm house having some good girl talk and watching the kids. They always have a good hunt (which is mostly due to the fact that uncle mike buys pheasants that are raised by people and lets them loose in the fields the day before the hunt. Which is pretty messed up if you think about it...they have never been in the wild and are used to people feeding them so of course they aren't going to be that hard to find:) then you usually have to kick them to scare them up to fly to shoot them hahaha so funny...but still messed up. Aw good times, its a good thing I don't have a soft spot for birds or I probably wouldn't be able to attend.

My sister-in-laws that were there minus Lashel cuz Koleman was in the house taking a nap on her lap:(

Look at these 2 handsome hunters! Tom you are soo hot! sheesh!

OH Koleman! He is my favorite little boy ever! He is sooo stinkin cute!

And these little darlings were soooo cute! It was Koleman, Braydi, and Mckenna. They are 2nd cousins born within a month or so of eachother. It was so funny that you could tell that Koleman was a first child because every loud high pitched scream would freak him out and make him cry, with Mckenna you could tell she was a 2nd child because she didn't mind the noise but still needed attention and toys, and with Braydi you could definitely tell she was a 3rd child because she didn't care about the screaming, kids bumping and running into her, the fact that the other kids only let her have one toy to play with when there were buckets of toys, that she hadn't been fed or had her super thick snow pants taken off so she was probably roasting...she was just fine and content! She is such a good little baby!

It was a good time as always with the Styler clan!

Saturday night we went to my parents and had Thanksgiving dinner! It was sooo delicious and my mom knew she wasn't going to have us over for thanksgiving this year so she wanted to cook it for us! And I got to play with my cute little neice Alyssa! We also played the wii (yes us, my two sisters and their hubbys, grown adults) for a few hours..that Tetris is freaking addicting! And on Sunday we went to church and had family pictures. On the way home, we went to Tom's moms to hang out for a while and had yet another wonderful meal....We definitely don't starve down in Delta! I wish I would have taken more pictures!
So nice to get away for the weekend, and there is no other place we would rather be than with our families in Delta (well maybe an all expense paid vacation to Hawaii) :)

Minneapolis and Halloween

Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles!!!! oh yes me and my co-workers were the ninja turtles for Halloween and it was Awesome!

yup my weapon is a broom handle

This is at the hair school with some students

After work Dallas and Stefany invited us to Tucano's for din din which was delicious as always and then we rented a movie and gave out candy to trick-or-treaters. An overall wonderful Halloween

Last Weekend I had the opportunity to Minneapolis, MN with my co-workers from the Aveda Institute that I teach at. It was fun, busy, inspirational and exhausting! I learned a lot of cool stuff. They had us going from sun up to basically sun up for 2 days straight. It was so cool tho to be around so many cosmetology educators like myself from all over the U.S. and Canada. There were over 700 educators there! It made me realize how big Aveda is and its potential in Utah. I love my job and am so happy to work for a company that is so good to its employees. We were spoiled on this trip. I love Aveda!! Really now...at first I wasn't all that sure about it but now its an awesome company to be a part of.
Goodbye Utah

Oh Kenzi...I love this girl...I don't think I would have made it through this trip without her...she was like my mother haha. Literally, she had my schedule me for every day, she made sure I was up in the morning, let me put my heavy shoulder bag on her rolling one cuz I sure didn't think of a rolling one even tho I knew we would have to carry it several blocks to the hotel, made sure I bought a jacket cuz I'm an idiot and didn't bring one to freaking Minneapolis!, and most importantly...on the flight home the weather was really bad so turbulence was really bad so I got REALLY motion sick (it probabaly didn't help that we ate Thai food right before and I ate a king size bag of M&M's at the airport, again I'm an idiot), but Kenzi was there to take care of me by: ordering me a sprite and pretzels (which I refused like a nauseous child at first but then after having a little of each, felt much better), putting her freezing cold hands on my forehead to cool me down, and talked me through the landing cuz I was LITERALLY 1 second away from puking as we touched ground, she kept saying"just breathe, you're almost done" over and over again. Man I owe you big time Kenzi! Thank you!

Hello Minneapolis, MN
Here is the Provo team: me, Chelsea, Kenzi, Matthew, Meg, Heggy sitting in class. Yes I'm pretty sure we were the smallest staff there...all in good time tho

Minneapolis was an interesting city! Some of the craziest architechure I have ever seen but beautiful.!
Apparently shoe-shining is a regular practice and is very popular because these things were everywhere!

Me and Kenzi in front of our hotel which was beautiful and used to be an old train station

"Oh take one of me laughing!! haha"

There were some creeps...

...and lovers...and creeps:)

This is the Aveda Institute Minneapolis and it may not look like it but it is HUGE! It just keeps going and going, its 4 stories and the place seriously reminded me of Hogwarts!! Huge stairwells, random hidden closets, and it used to be some sort of temple so it has that old, actual handcrafted design castle feel. It was soo cool. They have like 700 students.

And when I saw these decorative trunks I seriously felt like I was off to Hogwarts! (ok so I'm a little excited for the new Harry Potter movie to come out)

Oh and sitting in more classes

This woman is Antoinette Beenders. And she is crazy AMAZING! She is known globally with Aveda and wow she is pure talent. Below is some of her work. The pic right under her is her doing a haircut in literally 5min and with no comb and it looked amazing! She would just pick up sections of hair and chop it off! It really made me want to not be sooo technical with my cutting and be more artistic. She is really inspiring

Overall great experience with my co-workers.

I was super excited to get home tho! I was missing my hubby and kiddies
