On June 1st, Jon and Kimi blessed their little girl up in Provo and had a nice luncheon afterwards. It was a great afternoon spent with family! We are so happy for them!
Here I was last week at 28 weeks! We're getting there! This little girl moves A LOT!
I ended up only have hair appointments until 1:00pm on Saturday so we spent the rest of the weekend in Oak City/ Delta for Father's Day! It worked out perfect and we definitely maximized our time down there with both families.
When we got there Saturday afternoon, we had a BBQ at Kevin's cabin with Darren and Dani too! It was a lot of fun and Jade was in heaven!
...and yes, she did eventually fall down, soaking all her clothes haha

Eating peas with Grandpa- she couldn't get enough! Kevin's garden was Tom and Jade's hangout as much as possible |
The first place Jade asked to go when we got to grandpa's was his garage to see the "baby chicks!" It's crazy the things she remembers- and sure enough, there were new chicks in there, and yes they survived her death grip on them:)
Feeding the chicken some peas
The rest of the night we hung out at Kevin's and of course Darren and Tom finished the night off with some NFL Blitz from who knows what year:)
On Sunday, we went to church with Kevin and even got to enjoy his Sunday School class that he was teaching! We walked in a few minutes late (whoops), so of course Jade had to draw extra attention to us by yelling, "GRANDPA!! HI GRANDPA! Grandpa is talking into the microphone!!!" haha I ended up dropping her off at nursery:)
After church we went to Delta to see my fam! We ate an amazing dinner and enjoyed the perfectly overcast day!
Jade LOVES her grandparents sooo much! Tom and I were talking on the way home how cute her relationships with all her grandparents is!

I love these last pics of my parents tickling and loving on Jade!
It was an awesome weekend to spend Father's Day with both dads! Words can't express how much they mean to us. We are so thankful for their examples, love, and support for our little family. Pretty sure, we have the best there is!
Also Happy Father's Day to Tom! I seriously don't know what I would do without him! He is a fantastic Father and Jade just adores him! I love you babe!

So, here's an update of the funny/cute things Jade has done that makes our day:
- She fell down the other day and Tom and I didn't jump up to help her (because we knew it didn't hurt her at all) we just asked if she was okay...and so she just laid there and said, "my arm hurts...my knee hurts...my eye hurts....my elbow hurts...my toe hurt..." on and on she just kept naming body parts that "hurt" to try to get us to come help her haha
-She keeps everyone in line while saying a prayer! At church last week during a prayer, the girl in front of us kept playing during the prayer, so Jade sternly tells her, "we're saying a prayer girulllll!"
and that same day told Tom to, "close your eyes Dad!"
-She'll randomly say, "Guess what Mom (or Dad)?!" so we'll say, "what?" and the answer is, "you're my best friend!" or "I love you!" ...I know, how precious is that!?
-We had a wasp that was building a nest on our porch, and she just loved that thing!! Everyday she would ask to go out and see the "bee" or the "bee house" and every time we came home or left she would greet the wasp with "HI bee" or "Bye Bee"
-She loves pulling weeds haha! I know, child labor! She always helps me and loves when I point out more for her! And she knows that she wants to pull them out by the roots!
-She has been eating SOOOO much better as a whole but I would say her favorite foods right now is homemade popcorn, and "Chicken crackers!" (Chicken in a biscuit crackers) and she still loves her some milk!
-We've been letting her cuddle us in our bed before putting her to bed lately and it's soo fun! (We are also hoping it helps her want to sleep in a big bed in a few weeks) Anyways, Tom has an alarm clock that projects the time on the ceiling and so we talk about the numbers. One night it was 9:15 and we asked what numbers she saw and she said "6, 1, 5" and we corrected her saying, "actually it's 9, 1, 5" and she replied, (while laughing hysterically) "ACTUALLY it's a 6 on it's head!!! haha silly 6!!" Oh man haha where does she get this stuff?
-On our way home from some long car ride, she randomly says, "Everybody! Look back here, I'm a monkey!" And she is pulling a monkey face by pulling on her ears and doing chipmunk cheeks! We were laughing so hard!
-Everytime she is preparing to jump off something, she says 3 times, "Tett-ten, tett-ten, tett,-ten!" We don't know what it means or where she got it, but I guess it hypes her up for the big jump haha. She has done this for about the last year now
-She dramatically says "I can't believe it!" and "GOSH!" lately at the funniest things! (I can't think of an exact example)
-She sings all the time and I have had nursery leaders tell me that she is the best little singer in there! Her latest song that Tom taught her is "You are my Sunshine" and man, it just melts your heart!
-She loves to share in the excitement of a treat, snack, or toy and insists that after you give her one she'll say, "Do you want one too Mom?!" and if I say No Thanks, she sadly says, "Please?"
-She is mildly obsessed with dum dum suckers right now! Thank goodness a 300 count bag is only a few bucks! We go through several a day! (don't worry, she doesn't eat most of them) She just likes to play with them and will tell you, "don't eat the sucker!" if she sees you try to eat one!
-And for the grand finale: (Let me preface this with=She is always complimenting people on what she notices! "Mom, I love you shoes" or "I love your necklace"...and sometimes not for the best haha, "Mom, I love your mole!" ) Sooo, the other day she went into our room after Tom took a shower. He had his shorts on, but no shirt yet. And Jade (being the complimentary girl that she is) says, "Oh hi DAD! I love your nipples!" hahaha it's so funny and so cute because in her mind, she is genuinely just being nice and polite!
