Preschool pics, Halloween, Dad's B-day, Steph's baby shower and all the in between

Isn't Jade's class just the cutest group of kids?!  She is loving school.  Her best friends are Penelope (left of Jade) and Jack (bottom left).  She loves Miss Janet so much and so do I.  She is the sweetest woman!  Funny thing:  last week a mom stopped me on the way out and asked if I was Jade's mom.  I guess her son Boston didn't want to go to school that day and she told him that all his friends were going to be there, and he asked "is my girlfriend going to be there?"  And she asked who his girlfriend was and he blushed and said, "Jade"  haha so cute.  So when she got home I was curious who Boston was and I asked her to point him out on this class picture and she had no clue who he was haha...oh preschool love.  But Jade does talk about Jack a lot
Miss Janet
Maezy, Boston, Penelope, Jade, Holly
Jack, ?, Trace, ? (Maybe someday she'll learn all their names)
I love this picture of Jade even though she looks so grown up :(  This was day 3 of antibiotics and recovering from that terrible sinus infection so her poor lips were chapped and under her nose was raw.
We had a pretty good Halloween!  Tom was MIA a lot the week before and after Halloween getting his store all moved to their new location in American Fork.  He worked 12+ hour days and weekends for 2 weeks straight!  It was not fun for anyone, but the new building is beautiful and all his higher ups were thrilled with how smooth the move went and how Tom is running things.  Way to go Tom!  You're amazing!

So Friday the 30th was crazy!  She was in her costume all day!  First was Jade's preschool party.  And she wasn't happy that I forced her to take off her jacket and put on the wings for a picture so here you have....  grumpy Tinkerbell and semi-happy Tinkerbell

Then that afternoon we went to her dance class Halloween party and Tumbling and then had to rush back so I could set up for the ward Trunk-or-treat!  (Primary was in charge)  And while there I had to help judge the chili cook-off, wrangle and feed 2 girls, and hand out candy and trunk-or-treat with my girls....all solo!  Thankfully other leaders told me to not stay and help clean up!  Tom didn't get done working that night until about 10pm.  To say I was sooo done is an understatement... props to all single parents!  I'm a wimp!
Jade's nursery friends!  Emma, Avi, and Anna!  And not one would look haha

On Halloween day I went to work for a few hours and that night Tom took Jade Trick-or-treating and she LOVED it!
And Lainey and I stayed home to pass out candy!

Tom even got into it and disappeared up stairs and eyelinered himself and made some stitches!  Not sure what he was supposed to be but so funny!
All in all, it was a crazy busy but fun weekend!

Jade is getting so good at all her letters and the sounds they make!  She typed out her whole name!

My silly Lainey girl....  she was sitting on the floor in between my legs and kept cranking her head back to look at me.  And just playing in the mom's room of Jade's dance studio

This was so funny!  Jade went through a "tape solves all problems phase"  and also was really into the movie Tangled...so her solution for Rapunzel hair was obviously tape!  Oh man, it was hilarious!  She was just singing her little heart out and sweeping her "hair" back.  And she would get so frustrated with me if I sang the words wrong!

My mom invited us kids out to dinner on Nov. 7 to celebrate my dad's birthday!  Sharice's fam could also make it.  It was a lot of fun to hang out together!  Thanks for the invite and dinner mom and dad!  And happiest birthday to the most amazing pops and Gampy the world has ever known!  We love you!

We also went to dinner with Kevin and Kimi & Jon a week later!  Man we are spoiled with parental dinner dates!

First real snow of the year!
The 2 cutest shoppers at Home Depot!
Lainey demands to feed herself no matter what!  I love her love of food and independence!  I dish out the same amount to both girls and Lainey always finishes and Jade rarely does.  It's so strange to us because it couldn't be more opposite of Jade (whom we embarrassingly still pretty much feed!)  Lainey is quite proficient with a fork and pretty darn good with a spoon too!
I tried to be sneaky and snap a pic of them reading with Dad, but they saw my flash and all looked!  Just look at Jade's priceless big smile!

We had been cooped up in the house for several days so we went on a family date to Get Air Hangtime!  And of course the girls were in heaven!

Lainey has been doing this cute hide-and-seek game where she hides her face and we ask, "Where's Lainey??" and she pops out and we say, "There she is!" and she was playing it in stink bug position with her face in the carpet....so this is when she popped up "There she is!"
Lainey is starting to talk more and more!  She says "no, ball, door, star, dog, milk, mom, dad, uh oh..."
Just eating snacks and watching a show!  This is when Jade started feeling not so great, had a fever, and more emotional than normal (Yes it is possible :( )  and complaining that her back was hurting.  She has complained about it randomly over the past couple months but we didn't know what to think because she would say her back hurt while in the carseat or sitting at the table, and say her back was "hot" and we thought she was just trying to find a way out of the carseat or dinner...anyways I just felt like I should take her in, even though the fever started just earlier that day.   So the Dr. is treating her for a UTI and hopefully that will take care of the back pain.  Poor girl is still recovering from a cold, 2 miserable cold sores, and a UTI.  Let's just say this week wasn't super.

On Saturday Jenni, Brittany, and I threw a baby shower for Stephanie!  We are so excited for them!  They are having a little boy in January!  The shower turned out great and was a lot of fun!  Love you Steph!

And this cute picture was yesterday at church.  Lainey is too young for nursery so she hangs out with me in sharing time when Tom has to teach.  And she just wanted to fit in with the big kids I guess!
