End of Summer / Labor Day weekend

The last couple weeks have flown by!  They have been fun and busy!
But first, let me take a selfie...
The girls and I hit up the splash pad one last time

We played games at the Jones and Jade and Swayzie had their very first "sleep-over party!" (a late night that they believe is a sleepover haha) They were both beyond crazy giddy about the whole thing!  They just ran off playing and giggling and were dressed up like princesses in no time!
When it was bedtime, we wondered how they would actually do sleeping together..but they did awesome!  We didn't hear a peep!  The promise of "if they were good and went to sleep then we could do it again" really worked!
Sleeping beauties
My parents stopped by and the girls were in heaven!
Also this is what it looks like when my mom gets a haircut haha

I agree, sitting in that box to watch a movie seems much more comfortable than that dumb ole' giant couch!

Jadelyn's dance and tumbling classes started back up for Fall!  She has Dance on Wednesdays and Tumbling on Fridays.  She is loving it!  And for the most part is doing great! (Minus the sometimes not listening and not wanting to wait her turn)
Lainey is tortured during class because she wants to join in with the big girls!  During their "free dance" song where they basically run and prance around, I let Lainey go to live it up!  Miss Monica even gave her a fairy wand to dance with and she loved every second running around with the girls

Big News!
Jade also started PRESCHOOL last week!  She was so excited!  We really built it up all week and Tom gave her a sweet father's blessing the night before.  She was a tiny bit nervous when the big day came but did great!
Cutest Preschooler I know!

While walking her to her classroom (overhearing a child in a different classroom wailing for his mom) I gave her my "I'll see you soon and can't wait to hear about your first day, be good, have fun, I love you!..yada yada yada.".  Miss Janet gave her her new backpack, I got a nervous thumbs up picture and then she got a little hesitant and clingy for just a moment but I pumped her back up and her teacher walked her into class.
I went out to my truck (that happened to be parked right in front of her classroom window) and she saw me.  I was thinking, "oh no, now she is going to start crying for me."  But no!...she gave me a big smile, we waved and she blew me a kiss and then sat down with the other kids!  My eyes definitely welled up with tears!  Not sadness, but with pride!  I'm so proud of her!

When we got home from picking her up, she asked for a picture of her backpack haha so here it is....
....and she didn't take it off the ENTIRE DAY!  She insisted on playing "school" all day.  She would pretend to be asleep, "wake up" for school, put on her backpack, and go to "school" (the pantry) ...over and over and over!  She found her lady bug backpack for Lainey to wear while she gave her a "ride" to "school"  haha silly girl!

This picture was around 7:30 pm....backpack still going strong...

We finally pried it off her just before bath time
Some cute pictures from Tom's phone!

Tom hooked the sprinkler directly to the faucet so it sprayed out horizontally and Jade thought it was the coolest thing!  So after some begging, we let her strip down and run through it!  It was dang cold, but she was loving it!

Lainey had her 12 month checkup (and 4 shots and a finger poke:(!! ) and she is healthy as a horse!  She weighed 21 lbs and 30" tall!  75% in both.  And her head circumference is still off the charts haha!

On Friday I was able to meet up with my friends from Dallas Roberts days and AVEDA days!  It was soooo fun catching up and reminiscing with these lovely ladies!  And meeting Kenzi's new little baby!

On Saturday morning we went up to Midway for family time and Swiss Days!  It was a blast!  We ate way to much and spent way too much money!

A huge "THANK YOU!!!"  to Grandpa and Grandma Probst for having us all and making it so fun!
Grandma had some crafts for the girls and Grandpa showing Tom his heritage!

I mean, GEEZ!  This girl steals my heart everyday!
 Love this one...
I don't know why, but I love this pic of Tom and I!
Uncle John helped Jade pick a giant carrot out of the garden and she downed the whole thing!

John, Tracie, Tom and I played catch and it was so fun and hilarious!  Michelle caught these action shots!

Crushing hard on this guy :)
 Catch..... and throw haha

I love this picture of Jade running!

Bella giving Jade bow and arrow lessons

Cute Tom holding some artwork we were given that was gorgeously framed by this cute grandpa!

We love going to Midway!  It is like the most peaceful retreat in the world.  It was so nice to spend some quality time with the Probst side of the family

On Sunday, the girls wore their ADORABLE dresses that Grandma Michelle bought them at Swiss Days!!

Tom had Labor Day off so we slept in, went for a family run, and later went to our fave Payson pool for one last farewell-to-summer-hoorah!  And it was just perfect!  Not crowded at all and the water was warm and we had a blast!  Also, Jade finally braved the green twisty tube slide all by herself!  After I literally had to shove her down it the first time haha!  But once she realized it was fun, she did it all by herself and came out and said, "I'm so proud of my body for doing that!"
Just a perfect day and a perfect weekend!  I love my little family more than anything!
And I can't forget this picture I took today of Jade modeling the snap cube glasses made by yours truly!
Funny things she's said:
*After church I said, "Come here Jade.  Let's change out of your dress and into comfy clothes."  And she ran right over and said, "OK!  I LIVE for that!"  haha me too girl!
*At Walmart they had a little sample table of crackers.  We talked to the lady working at the table for a minute and as we walked away Jade said, "Mom, when I grow up and I'm big, I want to be a cracker seller."  hahaha Dreaming big!
