Jadelyn's 3rd birthday!

I can't fathom that we have a 3 year old kid in our home!  Jadelyn, we love you so much and are so proud of the happy, daring, beautiful, smart, dramatic, and funny girl you are!  You brighten up our lives everyday!  We hope you had a great birthday!

We were planning on saving our birthday presents for her to open on her actual birthday, the 16th, but we let her open one the night before her birthday party!  We gave in because she has been obsessed with 'Team Umizoomi' lately and uses random toys to pretend to be Milli, Geo, and Bot...so she was doing that and we couldn't wait any longer to see her reaction to them and an Umizoomi book:)

On Saturday the 14th we had her Princess birthday party!  It was so much fun to have her cousins and her little neighborhood friends over to celebrate!
The weather could not have been better!

The kids (and by kids, I mean their adult parents haha) made princess and prince T-shirts!  They turned out so cute!
And the other activity I had planned, that the kids weren't really interested in haha (because they just wanted to keep playing and playing) was Pin the tail on the donkey.  They finally participated after my amazing demo (and maybe bribes of ring pops and a prize for the winner)
The birthday girl never did participate because she was too scared of the blindfold mask....but she was obviously interested in watching from the safety of dad's arms

This is pretty much the best of the forced smile pictures I get out of her lately:)

All the kiddos!

She's pro at blowing out the candles now that she's got a whole 3 years under her belt!

hahaha this picture!  I'm pretty sure something inappropriate was just said.  Love these gals

Jade got overwhelmingly spoiled with presents!  She was really just in stunned silence opening present after present!  Thank you everyone!

She wouldn't let this Peppa Pig house out of her sight the rest of the party!
Jade really was in heaven to have Grandma, Great-grandpa Probst (we missed Grandma Probst who was not doing well, but is thankfully doing better), and Gammy and Gampy along with her friends and family there.  Thank you to all that made the time and effort to be there.  I know it meant a lot to her.

When the party was over and it was just us again, it was nice to just chill and bask in all the love we felt that day....and of course play with everything she got!
Since Lainey basically napped most of the party...we had to get her in her Princess T-shirt for some pictures.

Her birthday on Monday didn't start out super fun...it started at a car shop getting the safety and emissions inspections done!  Who wouldn't be thrilled about that.  "Mom, waiting is hard!"  "Waiting is boring."
But on the way home we stopped at the park to play for a while.  And look at this adorable baby who thinks she's not a baby anymore!

That night for her birthday we took her back to the "best place in the world!" (Hangtime) for some trampoline fun!
So funny story... Jade was, of course, PUMPED to go to "the trampoline place" again and kept asking if we were there yet, the whole drive up to Orem!  So we walk up to the door and there is a note on the door saying they are closed to the public for a private event and that they will re-open at 8:30 pm (2 hours later)....BUMMER!  We did not want to have to explain to a crying birthday girl that we have to get back in the car and go home.  So we decide to get in line and kind of play dumb and just ask.  The girl at the register asks our names and if we are part of the group... ummm no.  She then tells us they are closed because the whole place has been rented out.  Tom asks her if there is anything she can do because it's Jade's birthday, and this is where she wanted to go on her birthday, and we drove up here, blah blah blah, oh and he even promised her we would blend in haha!.  And bless her heart!- After an awkward pause, she takes our names and gives us wrist bands!  We thank her profusely and when Tom pulled out his debit card to pay, she just waved us in (because it had already been rented out!) So it was also free!!!  Good Karma is coming for that girl to make Jade's birthday!
We never did figure out what group we were a part of that night!
I just love this little cupcake!
Because it was super crowded (and we felt a little guilty that we got in for free:) ) Tom and I just sat back and enjoyed watching Jade have a ball running and jumping non-stop!

And then we ended the night taking our tired and sweaty daughter through a drive through to get an ice cream cone!

Her other 2 presents from Tom and I are this Polly Pocket wall mall we set up in her room!  She LOVES it!
And a bubble gun!  And yes, she may still have been in her pajamas at 4pm..

Some firsts... and all over the place stuff

Lainey is now 6 months old!!!  What the heck?!  She weighed in a 18.1 lbs and is 26.5" long!  She has been such a joy in our family and this has been the fastest 6 months in my life!  She can now roll all over the place, sit up un-assisted (but will still tip over if she is distracted with a toy), will get up on her hands and knees for a split second, loves to be held and walked around, loves attention, and will jabber back and forth with you.  Tom is convinced her first word is dada :)

She also started solids the week she turned 6 months!  So far she has had green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, peas, and rice cereal!  She is doing pretty good with all the new foods but is still quite the puker!  I guess she has to have one flaw right?  Both her and I go through several shirts everyday due to spit up.

When Tom bathes her, she gets a mo-hawk.  And it stays the next day.  I don't hate it haha

Every Sunday Jade excitedly races to meet me in the Primary room.... but does she run to me?..no, she runs to the microphone!  She turns it on herself and starts jabbering.  I can't believe that next year she will be a little Sunbeam!  I hope I'm still in the Presidency so I can have a front row seat to watch her in Sharing / Singing time.

Someone helped themselves to some fresh cookies right out of the oven
Jade learned to pedal a big girl bike!!!!!!  We are so proud of her!  Grandpa Styler brought it over for an early birthday present!  After I worked with her for about an hour of pure frustration on pedaling, I wanted to throw in the towel....then we brought it in the house that night and after some more practice she finally got it!!  She takes about 100 laps around our kitchen table everyday!

This was taken about 2 am during game night with the Jones haha....2 am!!  Sometimes we pretend we are teenagers and can handle no sleep

Gammy spent some time with us while my dad was at a Temple dedication planning meeting and we all loved it!  This pic is not great of the girls but its what we got:)

We had a random crazy blizzard!  Like crazy!  It was a white out and dumped about 5 inches in a couple of hours and was completely melted by the next day!  But we took advantage of what we could!

And she built her first snow man!  But no pictures:(

These are 2 cute pictures that Tom has sent me!  Just pondering the workings of the universe I'm pretty sure

Park days  (This was a day or two after the blizzard haha)

Silly selfies with this girl who should be doing quiet time!  (I totally jinxed myself with one of my previous posts about how great it was that she still napped!  Well those days are gone :(
But one day she just crashed on the couch!  This never happens and it was precious!
When these two play together my heart could literally burst!  They really love each other and it's so cute to see.  Of course this cuteness ended with Lainey grabbing Jade's hair and tears haha

This happened within the 20 seconds I set Lainey down to go to the bathroom!  Jade grabbed the stool and hopped on in to join her!

Jade pulled her over on her lap.  I love that she loves to make Lainey smile and laugh!

This blurry selfie of Lainey and I makes us look slightly angelic right? haha
Another first... the glorious day when I can leave the carseat in the car while grocery shopping has arrived!!
The gals and I (and the dogs you can see in the distance) went to the "little park" this morning.
Another awesome first for Jade is that she can pump herself on the swing now!!!!  It's sooo great!  Good job Jade!

Some funny things that Jade has said recently:
1)  The show Daniel Tiger teaches a lot about feelings and an episode was about jealousy.  So she brought a toy over to me and said, "Mom, take my toy from me."  So I did and then she sulks away and said, "now I feel jealous."
2)  A man in our ward has longer hair and facial hair and while Tom was walking her to nursery she sweetly asked, "Is that Jesus?"
3)  We were talking about eye color and when she realized our whole family had blue eyes she said, "We all have blue eyes?  How INNN-teresting!?"
4)  She may or may not get bribed with Smarties to go poop..(ya do what ya gotta do)  and one day she was trying and said, "That pesky poop won't come out!"
5)  "Dad, how old are you?"  Tom said 30.  And Jade said, "Oh, I'm 22."  hahahaha sometimes it seems like it!

Doing this blog is so good for me to go through all my pictures to see and be reminded of all the fun times we have as our little family!  It makes all those times when I'm about to loose my mind seem so insignificant!
