Last week and Memorial Day

We had a fun week!  Jade is so fun and always busy busy!  Last Sunday morning she was quite the trend setter- rocking her snowman pajamas with tennis shoes and rocking to my ipod!  She thinks those ear buds are the coolest things

That night we went up to American Fork to celebrate Addison's 1st birthday with the Byrds!  We had a blast and it was great to catch up with the Byrds!  We don't get to see them often enough!  But that will soon change because they are moving to Springville yay!  She is so cute and loved her giant cupcake!

The proud parents

On Monday, Jadelyn was showing off how big she thinks she is and just climbs on up on this chair!  So I captured the play-by-play :)  She thinks she doesn't need help with anything anymore!  And as you can tell, she was so proud of herself

On Tuesday Jade and I went to the park!  She loves the park and starts saying "whee!" the second the park is within eyeshot!  She is getting pretty brave wandering around with the other kids now.  She LOVES the slides and I, am that mom, who climbs around the jungle gym and takes her down the slides with me:)

Softball season is upon us!  Hooray!  I was asked to be on a Co-ed team down in Salem with my friend Stefany and some people I know through playing softball.
So that's what we do Wednesday nights!

The cutest fans at the ballpark!  I really am thankful for the support Tom is to me to come and watch me play and entertain Jade

On friday Jade and I met up with Jenni & Swayzie, and Jessica & Treyvin at the splashpad!  She wasn't a huge fan of the water, but she definitely had a blast!  And I could not get over how cute she looked in her little swimsuit!-hence, the load of pictures:)

BFF's

Later that night we went over to the Jone's so Tom could help Brent shovel some gravel and us girls and our little girls just played inside:)

Playtime with Dad when they were done.....

And then she was pooped for the day!
Saturday when I got home from work we went to Trey's 1st birthday party!  And I of course seized this photo opp while waiting for Tom.  She was just looking so cute in the truck, even with her battle wounds on her knees from the splash pad
Happy Birthday Treyvin!  We were late so we missed him eating his cake.

He got this cute little 4-wheeler and I was so impressed with how quick he learned how to push the button to go!  It was so cute!

After the party we came home to play with our new toy that Tom purchased that morning!  We welcomed a 4-wheeler to our family!  We are so excited and can't wait to take it up the mountain.  And I wasn't sure if Jade would like it, but no worries, she did:)

Family ride:)

And later that night, Jade was entertained forever with this bucket of water:)

On Memorial Day we started out the day by going to breakfast at Denny's.  And though the food was good, it was a lesson learned -that we should not take Jade anywhere that she has to be contained first thing in the morning before she has burnt off some energy-:)
After breakfast we started on our huge yard project!  We are putting a cement pad in our side yard!  We have wanted to do this since we bought the house, and now that we have a big truck and hopefully a future camping trailor, we wanted extra parking.

And Jade was a real good job supervisor...

So this is the "before" (although Tom had already pulled up the cement curbing)

And this is the "during"  I will post a picture of the after once the cement is done!

And HOLY COW-- was that WORK!!  We both worked our butts off, but mostly Tom!  5 solid hours of pouring sweat and residual lower back pain!  Removing sod is no joke -FYI.  Thankfully Jade napped the majority of the time, and thankfully we had neighbors that were putting in lawns that took our sod so we didn't have to move it another inch...

We finished off our Memorial Day with a well deserved little steak BBQ.
And later that night the Jone's stopped by for a visit and the girl's were so cute playing with these bubbles:)  Jade was concentrating so hard on just dunking the wand in and out...hilarious.

All in all, a great week!  Thankful for all of our military men, and the huge sacrifice it is to be away from family, and especially those that have lost their lives serving our country. Although we weren't able to visit any loved one's graves, they were definitely in our thoughts.

The latest on our baby girl:
Jade is still as sassy as ever!  She is definitely dramatic :)  She will go from 0-60 in a second!  One minute she is the happiest little thing, and the next (if one little thing isn't how she wants it) she is Freakin out:)

She is also a little sensitive Sally- she will get the saddest face/cry if you tell her "No" if she is doing something we don't want her too....like her world is over:(

She is still a bit of a difficult eater...the bite has to be just the right size, texture, and temperature for her, or it comes right back out!  But she is definitely getting better and I don't have to use baby food anymore to mix into her real food so she will eat it.

*mom brag moment*
She waves and says HI and bye bye at the right times now.  And she just learned to blow a kiss!

She takes 1 really good nap a day still from about 12:30pm-3:30pm

Still only has 4 teeth, the two on each side of her top teeth are sooooo close, but have been for a while

I swear Jade is picking up new words daily!    It is so crazy and I am so proud of her!
She is a smart one!  She truly is the most content when she is outside or learning something new!

Jade's newest words she has learned and can say are:  Shoes, Duck, Cat, Fish, Yes, No, Owl, Car and her favorite thing ever right now is to point at, and say, STAR!!!!!!!!!  She will point them out wherever we are!  She even spots the Carl's Jr star from hundreds of feet away while driving down Main Street!  For reals

And she also knows how and when to use the word "no", which can be good and bad.  Even though it is sometimes frustrating, (because she say's no to the funniest things she doesn't want to do) it makes me smirk and I try to be serious and reply with a "yess"....but her little voice and tone is just the cutest thing ever.
