April - June 2021

Easter weekend in Delta/ Oak City!
We had a blast with the Styler and Miller families!

This is how Maycie likes to eat the Hot Cocoa Bombs haha!
not melted in hot milk...

Girl's night out to celebrate Jeff and Claudia's baby!
So excited to update our light fixtures... Before...

After....

LuLa Team training....
And of course Jovi joined us
Happy 15th Anniversary to us!  Takeout
And a one night getaway to Midway!  We got massages,
ate yummy food and slept in!

We braved the cold to cheer on Jade at her track and field day!
She did great! She ran the 100 and did the softball throw!

Making good use of all the LuLa cardboard boxes!
April 24th was a very hard and sad day for our family.
Our first baby Marley, at 13.5 years old passed away.
He really was the very best boy.  He has been in our whole family
almost all of our marriage, and all the girls have ever known.
He will always be loved and remembered and we are so thankful
for all the years we had with that sweet, crazy, quirky, sensitive boy!

This is the day we knew he was ready to go to heaven.
He declined so fast.  It was so sad.

Me and Tom were a mess driving him to the vet to be put down.
Those tear streaked smiles....so sad.  We buried him up on our backyard hill.
And planted a little tree where he was buried (by the big tree)
and it's now Marley's tree.

The next day we went and did Marley's favorite thing to honor him....
Go on a Walk!

Even met a snake!
Maycie is now a big fan of riding her bike in the house! Silly girl!
And she loved this little basket we hooked on for her toys

Spring Rococo Performance!

The girls did wonderful!!
We did a huge addition to our back yard!
An awning is something we have wanted since we moved in and it is so exciting!

My shopping buddy!
Jade's first year of fastpitch was awesome!
The first of the season was a huge learning curve but slowly but surely,
she picked up the basics!
Happy Sunday!

Our ultrasound confirmed we were indeed having a girl!!
Due September 16th!
Maycie Lu turns 3!! She is the funniest, silliest, sweetest,
sassiest little girl that we LOVE SO MUCH!

Lainey is ALWAYS doing tricks , flips and dancing!
Took the girls to spend that hard earned allowance at 5 Below!
Now they think that is the coolest store ever!

Happy Last day of School!! The girls were also thrilled to
not have to wear masks the last week of school hooray!! Bring on Summer!

Sadly, Jovi also took a turn for the worse about 2 weeks after Marley died.
Her seizures got out of control.  Like 9 seizures in 48 hours.
That happened twice, like a week apart.  We tried taking her to the vet for
more medication/help but she did not improve.  It was taking a major toll on
her physically and mentally.  She was confused and weary.
We made the decision to put her down as well.  She was almost 12 years old.
We will always love and miss our cuddly, sneak on your lap to be petted,
stinky breath, beyond sweet and lazy Jovi girl.  We buried her up the hill by Marley.
And got her her own stout little tree too.

Again, we went on a family hike to honor Jovi who died less then a
month after Marley.  It was so hard losing both of them.  Especially so close together.
But I'm sure they are happy being reunited up in heaven.

Such a good daddy.  The designated finger and toe nail clipper.
Summer has begun!
Bucket foot baths?!

Lainey took dance this year.... and their performance was beyond adorable!
We were so proud of her and all the personality she brought to the stage!

Maycie's first dentist appointment!
And she handled it like a champ!

We had Trevor and Lashel visit and had so much fun as always!
They came up for Michelle's wedding!

Jade had a piano recital the morning of the wedding and she
absolutely nailed her piece!  I'm so proud of her!

Happy Wedding Day!  I was honored to be asked to do her hair
and makeup!
She looked beautiful!!

Congratulations Don and Michelle Healey!  We love you and wish
you all the best!  It was a beautiful day!

The awning officially complete!! We absolutely love it
Swimming with the Youds!

Coach pitch for Lainey!

Neighborhood cruising shenanigans!
These funny pictures were of my family flying obviously haha!

Rappleyes came down to visit and see Gammy and Gampy's house that
is being built down the road from us!  We are soooo excited to have
them live so close!

Datenight with this handsome fella!

The girls were enrolled in the Spanish Fork Arts festival for 2 weeks!
They all loved their classes!  Jade built a fairy Garden, Lainey (and Maklyn)
did an edible art class, and Maycie did a princess dance class!

Delta annual campout!!

Girls being girls!
Jade's fast pitch team came back for almost last place... to taking 2nd place
at the city tournament!! I'm so beyond proud of Jade.
This is the post I shared on Facebook.  I wish I could put videos in this book,
because it was magical!
"I don't know if it's my pregnancy in overdrive...but I'm literally crying
with joy right now! This is Jade's first year of fast pitch and she has
really struggled with self confidence. It's been a difficult season for
her where she hasn't felt very fulfilled as far as contributing to the
team (even saying she thinks she's the worst player on the team 😥)
But she has still showed up every game and practice giving her all and
trying her best. She has kept a positive attitude and is the loudest
cheerleader for her teammates!
Every game the coach gives out a spotlight medal that the player gets
to keep until the next game and Jade has always tried so hard to get it
by having the most team spirit (because she never thought she would
earn it based off of how she played in the game) but hasn't ever received it.
She also didn't hit the ball the whole regular season other than one
foul ball... so when she hit a Home Run in the tournament (yes a Home Run
thanks to errors and her speedy little legs🤣) AND made a play to get an
out AND won the team medal for the night....My heart just bursts!!
She really needed this and even though it may seem small, I may or may
not have said many prayers for her this season that she could accomplish
something to make her feel proud and tonight those prayers were answered.
I have never missed a game until tonight (which is probably another reason
why I'm crying haha🤪) so I'm bummed I was working... but I'm so grateful
Tom and the girls could be there to video it and make her feel like a million bucks!
Jade I'm proud of your resilience and good attitude no matter what!
You deserve all the pride you feel tonight!!
One of the many things I love about sports is teamwork, hard work, persistence,
accomplishment, and confidence and I think she learned a little bit about each this season!"
Wonder what she's daydreaming about...
We went to Lagoon with the Miller clan (thanks to my dad's work party)
and we had so much fun!!!! Even thought it was a million degrees!

And we even got to hang out with our friends the Bloomfield's!

Sometimes you just got to take those Sunday best pictures for no reason!
