Home remodel!

So our living room remodel/new flooring is now about 95% complete!!  We still need to finish some baseboards in the kitchen/pantry and probably rearrange some decor...  But wow!!! We love it!  It is totally a better use of space and feels sooooooo much more open!  THANK YOU SO MUCH DAD for taking on this project and for all the time and energy driving here and working on it (Best birthday present ever!).  We seriously can't thank you enough!  And thank you to me dear husband for all the work you put into it and for making it happen!(And for putting up with my knit-pickyness)  And thank you Brent for spending 10+ straight hours helping Tom put the wood flooring in!

So we took out the entry closet for an entertainment center, put in new carpet/ wood flooring, new baseboards, and a pantry door!  It's so nice to have a house that's put together again!  It's been a few weeks of living in a construction zone.

Here is some of the recent work:

Jenni and I were so helpful ;)

Safety First! ;)

Here are the Before and Afters:

And just a couple more "Afters":

It's been great to see my dad and mom so often!

My mom is comforting little princess.  They were having a discussion about how it must be hard to be Jovi haha

And over the past couple weeks she got to see her other grandparents also!
Kevin came up to visit last Thursday

And Michelle came over to visit on Sunday!

And she brought Jade this cute monster hat!

IKEA boxes provided last nights entertainment!  She loved her first fort and was VERY possessive and particular about it!  She DID NOT want either of us, her toys, or anything in there with her.  Crazy child!

Still loves her shades!

Loves to go outside and find leaves and rocks.  And still obsessed with airplanes!  Even when we're in the house and she hears one, we have to go outside to find it!

She loves playing with my hair, sitting at the table like a big girl, and making us laugh!

And she most of the time she loves her mom and dad!

Random Update

Random update on our life!

My most amazing dad has offered to do a little home remodeling job that I have wanted for a while for my birthday!  I'm so excited and it's going to look sooo good!  He removed our entryway closet so we can flip the room around and make that where our entertainment center goes!  I'm so grateful to not only have a dad with tons of "know how" but also a dad that will give up several of his days off to come up and do this for us!  Thank you so much dad!  I love you!
(And yes, I feel like a worthless poop sitting on the couch watching him slave away!  I try to help with what little I can but at least I am good at running the errands my dad needs while up north haha)

Shopping with gramps:)

The progress after day 1:)

I will post final before and after pictures once it's all done with our new flooring.

I watched Swayzie the other day and they were both being so cute and like little mommies to eachother...making sure to swing eachother and their dolly's.

Last weekend my mom planned a girl's night for us to go watch the General Relief Society broadcast up in West Valley.  It was a really fun day!  My mom picked me up after my day at the salon and we went to IKEA and then to check out Tasha's darling new house!  We went to dinner at Chili's and then went to the broadcast.  It was a really good session and I'm so glad I went.

Afterwards we went to Sharice's house for ice cream!  It would have been a perfect night if Tom and Jadelyn were there:(

Here's some random pics that I like...

Hoodie, sweats, and sneakers
"Do you see anything??"  "Nah, you?"
Jade made her cat a slide!  She propped her popper toy up on her bike and helped her cat slide down!  In the other pic Tom dressed her in green/white stripes top and bottom...pretty cute....he thought they "matched"...different greens, different stripes...too much

Jade had her 18 month appointment and she is right in the same percentiles she has been since birth -50% height, 75% weight, and 90% head.  She weighs 24 lbs and is 31 inches tall!  She also just got two more teeth! -Her first bottom molar and her other side bottom tooth- so that makes 11 teeth for her!
Playing at the doctor's office after her 4 shots :(

She is very much in a copying stage.  She loves to do whatever we are doing!  Whether it be painting the walls, sweeping, dancing, humming, singing, chewing gum haha!  It's funny to see how her little brain works!

Not much is new with us...(yes this is a post with everything in random order)
Tom is still working his butt off at work, teaching Gospel Doctrine, and complying with all my craziness over this home remodel thing!  Man I love him!
I am still teaching at the school one day a week and at the salon on Saturdays.  Tom's sister Kimberlie is Jade's new babysitter on the day I teach!  We are soo grateful to her for helping us out and Jade is in love with her!  It is working out great and seems to good to be true to have such a great situation where Kimi comes here!  Thank you for everything!

I watched Treyvin today and they were so cute!  It felt like I had twins!  Which was fun and kind of crazy! (Tasha and Roger- you're gonna have your hands full :) )

They were oh so helpful unloading the dishes!

Trey hugging her was the cutest thing!

Unintentional brag time:
She has been talking more and more and it's so fun!  We are so proud of her and all she is learning!  She knows the colors Red, green, pink, orange, and blue.  And knows the shapes Circle, triangle, and square.
She still loves animals (that's my girl!) and will be transfixed on any show with animals.

Sometimes there is no need for us to speak haha, she will just do it for us!  Example:  If we accidentally bump her she'll say "Sorry jade!  Hurt? You ok?"  Or if she comes over for a hug she'll say "I got you Jade".

Things she has been obsessed with recently..
1.Goggles/Glasses (as shown in pictures of day 2 progress)
2.  Moon/Stars/Clouds.  She is always asking us to go outside to see the "Munn! Munn!"
3.  Airplanes/Helicopters.  She is always scanning the sky hoping to see one and when she does, WOW!  She gets excited and everyone around us becomes aware of the "pane! pane!" or "copter!"

She's a pretty cool chick!  Of course there are always the frustrations and not so great days, but overall I feel that I couldn't be more blessed.  I'm married to the man of my dreams, have the best family and friends, and a beautiful little girl!  Cheers to this being a great time in our lives!
